This application facilitates the calculation of plant stand (or plant population) by averaging five randomly taken plant count samples within a soybean field during the VC, V1, or V2 growth stages. Utilizing the average stand value derived from these samples, the app estimates the expected percent yield at harvest, both with and without the consideration of spring replanting.

Farmers can leverage these calculated values alongside their economic assessments to evaluate the feasibility of spring replanting in their operations. Additionally, for users located within Wisconsin, the app provides historical median frost dates pertinent to the nearest township, aiding in informed decision-making.

To collect field samples, users have the option of manually counting plants in measured rows or utilizing the iPhone's camera feature for automated counting. The app includes a help screen that guides users through the process, which involves holding the iPhone at arm's length and shoulder height with the camera oriented towards the ground. Visual lines on the camera preview assist in aligning with the plant rows for accurate sampling.
